I lived there for 2 and a half years. I enjoyed my experience but had to move because if the high rent. I don't think new carpet and laminate floors are reason enough to raise the rent that high. The renovations were needed 10 years ago. And they charge you extra for the carport. At Timberland Village the carport comes with your apartment.

This place is a joke. All the 5 star reviews are from people who haven't lived here more than a few weeks. It's a "gated community" that never actually closes its gates. They don't respect privacy by giving notice that someone is coming to replace filters. I woke up one morning to 2 men IN my living room, when I asked why the hell they were in my apartment, they said "sorry, we didn't think anyone was home." And my car has been towed from the parking lot twice, after giving a 48 hour notice on a Friday, and towing it on a Saturday. They take NO responsibility for any miscommunication or grievances their tenants have. Not to mention we all pay a trash free every month, and the dumpster is often so overfilled that it pours into the street and it stays that was for days (presumably until the garbage men come clean it up for them.)

I was reading the other reviews and I agree with some and some I don't. The only negative thing that I can say is that they have ALOT of spiders, but they exterminate monthly and spiders are very hard to get rid of. I just moved out, I lived there for 8 years when I moved in it was Madison Park Apts. Now everybody has different wants in an apartment. I have never cared much about. I want a safe, clean, well managed place to live until I decide to get my own house some day. I got all of those things. I never had any, not one single issue with a neighbor, no one messed with my car ever. I don't think I have ever seen a bug other than a spider in my 8 years there. For those of those who do care this complex is VERYYY!! Pet friendly so every other tenant has a dog or cat , but that never bothered me. Maintenance is "on the ball" now of course I know for some people the second a light bulb goes out they want them to respond in seconds. They get to their work orders in a reasonable amount of time. This was my favorite place to live so far. I was upset when they decided to renovate they raised the rent so high, I had no choice but to move, but unfortunately most of the Kansas city Metro area this side of the river is doing the same, so If you can afford to live there it is a great place to live.
