Where to start...moved in here July of 17’ and it was a rather pleasant experience to start off.. The office staff was very friendly (Morgan, Cynthia). Always got things done on time. Kept in communication very well. Then the new company comes in... Gates have only worked MAYBE 2 months of the 8 that I have lived here. Drive by right now & you will see at least one broke! Pretty sad considering the area this place is and the promises of secure gates entry they love to promote. Trash always overflows because there is only one dumpster/compactor for 12+ buildings. Hot tub was not open at all during the summer. Poorly maintained buildings...could see cracks in walls where the foundation has settled. Doors won’t shut because they aren’t even with the latch. I had to rig my laundry door because it kept falling. There’s at least 4 inch spaces between the door and the floor. Dirt everywhere. I had to. Scrub the baseboards when I moved in. Even after putting on my move in sheet that everything was dirty. Nobody came to fix. Their water/swer/trash/pest control is BOGUS. They said it’s based off the #of people in the building and usage but with people moving in and out my bill hasn’t changed at all. Rent is outrageous for the poorly remodeled property. & they will try to charge you for all kinds of BS so watch your bill carefully!! Grounds look nice but look closer there’s no grass, it’s all muddy from people having to walk on it. I’m against banned breeds but if you’re going to ban them ACTUALLY DO IT. I’ve seen so many Rottweilers and pit bulls walking around. But they’ll be real quick to tow your car if you’re a month late on getting your tags renewed. THEY PICK AND CHOOSE WHAT RULES TO ENFORCE. Mold in the closet, maintenance said it’s normal..if I see it get worse to call back??? VERY drafty apartments. NO closet space other than the walk in closet in your room. New staff is completely clueless on the way of the business & extremely unprofessional. I was told this was a great place to live but unfortunately have been eager to move out since about the 6 month mark... Every month I have lived here I have had AT LEAST one issue that I’ve had to take off of work to go up there to fix. Granted they’ve finally added more office hours which has helped. But still safe yourself the headache and the money AND GO SOMEWHERE ELSE!

I lived at Haven for 15 months and if I hadn't signed that long of a lease to save a bit of money, I would have left much sooner. I lived in two units there. The first unit was a one bedroom that had several issues. The sewer emptied outside my window so that any fecal matter ended up there and it constantly smelled. The apartment was wired incorrectly which caused me to be without power for 48 hours although I was expected to use one appliance at a time for the weekend so that it didn't set anything on fire. They provided a "temporary fix" so I hope that does not affect the next tenant. The dishwasher stopped working 2x that I can remember. I once came home to a snake inside of an apartment. The front AND back gate never worked which was part of why I chose to live in a gated community. The front one would make screeching noises and not let anyone in, which I was made aware of when I moved in by another tenant but when I approached the front desk they claimed to have never heard of this problem. I would come home after working on weekends and the gate would be stuck partway open, all the way open or would just not come open at all. When I approached this with the front desk they let me know it would be $3k to break my lease. Obviously I did not have that. They let me know I could move upstairs with a waived moving fee, but that then my rent would be higher. I chose to move into a 2 bedroom because I figured at least if i was miserable I could have extra space. I continued to have issues here (although less aggressive than the issues encountered at the first place) where my dryer never dried, the heat and air worked depending on the day, & the dishwasher wouldn't deploy soap. Again, these issues were petty in comparison to the first apartment but then an ice storm happened and we didn't have a back gate for months and the first one rarely worked. I would've rated the place 1 star, but the maintenance staff was very great and I loved Morgan who used to work at the front desk until they were bought out. This brings me to my last and most frustrating point as it is the most recent. Before the change in staff, I verbally let staff know I would be moving out. Although I understand that I should have said something in writing, the courteous thing to do would have been to say "be sure to send that in writing". As that staff is gone, I expected some sort of grace however instead I was made to pay an increased rate at an additional rate. Knowing how unhappy I was and how awful my experience had been with this complex so far I expected a little more. Given the choice and what I know now, especially for the price I would never rent here again.

I would like to make your organization aware of current issues and neglect I am experiencing with the apartment complex. I have contacted the Emergency line and left messages on 02/09/2018, 02/10/2018, 02/11/2018. Each day I attempted to contact the line 4 times. I have yet to receive a return call. On Friday, during business hours, I was unable to speak with any staff member about my concerns. Currently These are the issues : 1. Furnace is not in working order for 4 days. Current and recent temperatures below freezing all 4 days. 2. Hot Water tank is leaking a large amount of water each day, continuously. 3. The shower has mold growing behind the tiles and it is black and crumbling. The Black is getting into my water during shower times. This unsanitary and unacceptable. I have Asthma and have been having a more difficult time breathing, experiencing more episode of wheezing. My Apartment is so cold I have to have to turn on the oven and purchase additional space heaters. These issues are not only a concern for my health but also straining me financially.
