THIS PLACE SHOULD BE CONDEMNED! The living conditions here were deplorable. I truly dreaded going âhomeâ everyday. Management switched over around three times in the two years that we lived here (we were never informed when New management took over), every management company was just as bad as the last.If youâre considering moving here, please donât, YOU WILL REGRET IT! A few Weeks after moving someone threw a rock at our bedroom window, shattering the outside pane of glass, We addressed this immediately with management and maintenance and it was never fixed. Obviously this is a massive safety issue that they didnt care about and we were forced to live with it for the next two years, even after being told on numerous occasions, it would be replaced. A few times after management had changed and we had called to address some issue and brought up the window for the hundredth time We were told that we would be responsible for paying for the window. That was just one of the litany list of maintenance issues that we had that were never fixed. We honestly just ended up giving up on maintenance requests after learning that they would never be addressed or fulfilled. About 6 months into living there, we found black mold in the master bathroom and were temporarily moved into the model apartment. we had to end up living in limbo at the model for over a month when we were initially told it would be a week. Surprise! The black mold returned about a year later.. We also had mold in our HVAC closet and a horrible leak in the area that went on for months as well as in the hall bathroom . our AC unit frequently did not work and once when they replaced the filter it was riddled with black mold that had been circulating through our apartment for who knows how long ! There is so much more but I want this to be read to save someone from this place. I have never been happier than the day I moved out of this complex Living there was a constant battle because there was always an issue and management did not care and was certainly not going to help with any of those issues! This place violates so many leasing laws. They also add bogus charges to every months rent bill like pest services we never received and valet trash that is never picked up. I honestly have nothing positive to say about this place except for some of the lovely neighbors that I had who all were also dealing with something horrible as a result of living here. I advise anyone considering Haven Apartments to stay far far away.
*UPDATE* Our legal rights as tenants were violated when our move-out deposit inspection was completed without us present (we requested to be present as is our right multiple times). Ive contacted the office multiple times asking why no one contacted us to be present. The property manager refuses to answer the question knowing they violated our legal rights. Even after moving out of this complex it will continue to impact your life negatively and cause you problems. They commented on my review wanting to âhelpâ but I lived there long enough to know they just want to save face. They were not ever helpful while I lived there and have been even less helpful during the move out process.
