We have only lived here for about 2 weeks now, but the entire move in process was as smooth as you can ask for. Our apartment is fully renovated and any small issues we’ve had have been quickly fixed by the maintenance team. Anita is amazing, kind, and very focused on making sure people are happy where they are living.

At first it was a great experience with staff but then I moved in and they left so many details out unless you read the fine print. First thing is that on their website, they didn’t mention that you’re responsible of utilities and so it made me question that if I can actually afford this place. Second, the apartment is nice but I just had my Google Fiber guy leave because he can’t fix my WiFi because maintenance did a TERRIBLE job of fixing the place. My suggestion is to go somewhere else. I came in here excited but now I’m beyond confused & extremely frustrated with my experience so far and I’ve only been here for a few days.

Multiple (4+) instances of water leaking from my and the upstairs unit’s HVAC systems over the course of two years took a toll on my sanity. Maintenance made two “attempts” to respond the first two times, but neither one ended in any changes to my system, just a couple bandaids and duct tape. They finally replaced my entire HVAC unit when the heat wouldn’t turn on last winter, but the leaking never stopped. The office was non-communicative, even when I reported mold appearing in the ceiling and walls, which was also never fixed, just covered up. The semi-subterranean unit always felt damp, dark, and hellish, and the constant roach problem made it much worse, despite paying a small monthly amount for a bug spraying company to send an uncaring kid to each apartment without keys (must be home) who will be listening to music and spray his chemical in the bathroom and not at any of the doors. Community members, when driving their trash to the compactor because it is so very far from most of the buildings, would frequently drop bags of garbage (accidentally) on the street and not bother picking them up. The parking situation is a damn farce. Most uncovered parking spots in front of or near my own apartment were registered, pay-to-park spots assigned to other people ($10/month, I think?). The covered carport spots, which I do not think were ever completely utilized by residents, will result in a tow without warning if you decide to park there for any amount of time, but they seem not to care at all about cars parked in emergency fire lanes. For the amounts they are asking now, there is no way I could recommend someone signing a new lease at Haven. If you can afford literally anything else, go there.

I have been living for 2 years. Here are things I like - Very good maintenance team. My work order requests got worked out in very short time. - Mariah and Marlena are extremely friendly office stuffs. - Secure environment - Ample space and trees around to take walks. - Courtesy patrols - Great neighbors. I have made a few life-long friends with some of my neighbors. - Enjoying free Google fiber internet for 2 years. - 4 minutes from my work, Cerner Innovation campus. Many of my coworkers live here so I got rides in case of emergency.

There were some good days where they were very understanding and responded quickly to my needs, but most days there was no communication for several days. Work orders on my apartment we’re not resolved in a timely manner or even at all after multiple requests, and I felt that most of the promises made during my walk through and explanation of the amenities before signing at their complex were not met and my expectations just continued to decrease from there. I wasn’t the best resident there but I think it wasn’t worth it the way things went while I was there for my year lease. I wouldn’t recommend it to my friends for the price that it is running at.
